Connection Groups

What is a Connection Group?

A Connection Group is a small group, usually around 6 - 14 people, who pursue discipleship together in biblical community.

Why do we have Connection Groups?

Jesus didn’t create the Church so we could just attend. We’re called to be a people; we’re called to belong to a covenant community, a local body, a church family.  The purpose of a Connection Group is to connect people to a leader who will equip them to be disciples and send them out to make disciples.  Click here to listen to an overview of Connection Groups by Pastor Andy.

What's so important about biblical community?

Discipleship happens in the context of biblical community. This biblical community is also the basis for caring, supporting, serving, and encouraging one another. Where do people turn when they are in need? With whom can one share very personal prayer requests? Where does a Christian turn for loving, grace-filled accountability? Who comforts those who've lost loved ones? If a person is sick or injured and in need of regular assistance, to whom do they look? What is the solution to loneliness? How can a person find opportunities to serve others in a direct, hands-on way? How can someone see their passion for serving the poor, feeding the hungry, caring for orphans, supporting adoptive families, etc, become a reality? The answer to all these questions is found in the biblical community of Connection Groups.
