Marriage Conference: The Marriage of Your Dreams

Marriage Conference: The Marriage of Your Dreams

Do you want to experience the marriage of your dreams? We’ll be watching pastor, marriage counselor and best-selling author Dr. Paul David Tripp teach us in his upcoming marriage event, The Marriage of Your Dreams. Paul Tripp has been married for nearly 50 years and will help you dream bigger, love better, and experience a deeper relationship with God and your spouse than ever before. Discover how to experience the marriage of your dreams–the one that God intended–by getting on the same page as the Bible!

In four brand-new sessions, we’ll cover

  1. Disappointed Dreamers: No matter how long you have been married, Dr. Tripp will help to realign your expectations so you aren’t discouraged and disappointed by the reality of your relationship.

  2. The Spouse Of Your Dreams: Learn how to treat your husband or wife with integrity and faithfulness so they fully entrust themselves to your care. As a bonus, you’ll receive Dr. Tripp’s trust questionnaire worksheet to work through with your spouse or fiancé.

  3. What Dreams Are Made Of: After four decades of counseling marriages, Dr. Tripp knows why couples fail to experience the marriage of their dreams: they point the finger of blame and hold grudges. Instead, discover how to fight for your marriage by practicing confession and forgiveness each day.

  4. All You Need Is (Cruciform) Love: There are many definitions of love out there, but you only need to follow one example: the Cross of Christ. As a bonus, you’ll receive Dr. Tripp’s worksheet, 24 Things That Love Is And Does, to remind you each day how to practically love your spouse like Jesus.

We are excited to share some wonderful news! The week of September 23–27, Pontiac Bible Church will be the featured organization at Pontiac Helping Hands.

This is a special opportunity for us as a church family to both bless our community and receive support for the ministry of PBC. Here’s how it works:

  • Shop at Helping Hands during our week, and proceeds will go toward PBC.

  • Donate items to the thrift store—every donation makes a difference.

  • Volunteer your time! If you’d like to serve, contact Teresa at 815-419-2696 to get plugged in.

We’d love to see as many of you as possible come out and participate. Whether you shop, donate, or volunteer, your involvement directly supports the mission and vision of PBC: bringing the transforming hope of Jesus to Livingston County and the world.

Let’s make the most of this opportunity together.

An Introduction to Discipleship and Biblical Counseling

This series is for anyone high school age and up—no matter your church background—who wants to grow in applying God’s Word to real life. You’ll explore nine key theological truths that are essential for spiritual growth and resilience in trials, including:

  • Who Is God and Why It Matters?

  • Is the Bible Relevant for Today's Counseling Issues?

  • Who Am I? A Biblical Understanding of the Nature of Humanity

  • How the Gospel Transforms and Defines My Identity

  • What Is My Purpose in Life?

  • Motivation: Why Do I Do What I Do?

  • How Do I Change?

  • Becoming an Active Disciple in My Church

  • Dealing with Disappointment and Loss

Through this study, you’ll gain a biblical framework for facing life’s challenges and be better equipped to care for others in theirs.

If you’re a follower of Jesus, this will strengthen your walk.
If you’re in relationships of any kind—married, parenting, mentoring, or ministering—this is for you.

Whether you’re a new believer or have walked with Christ for years, you’ll find this series both practical and deeply relevant. And if you’re exploring faith, you’ll see the transforming power of the Gospel in everyday struggles.
