Open for Remote Learning!
We exist to serve.
PBC is for Livingston County. We are for our schools, our administration, our public officials, and the families of this community. We know that school reopening plans and changes have created some new challenges as parents balance work schedules, school schedules, a need for reliable WiFi, space for group meetings, and still prioritize the health of our community.
We want our resources to help our community.
Our building will be open to you.
Here’s what we can offer:
Monday-Thursday 9:30-4:30
Public Space
Tables are available for supervised children. Access to internet and bathrooms. A $4 fee to cover cleaning and sanitization reserves the table for you all day. Reserve your spot by clicking here!
Private Rooms
An upstairs classroom for only your family or your group. A $12 fee to cover cleaning and sanitization reserves the room for you all day. This is an ideal space for a co-op or a gathering. It will be necessary to have 1 adult (18+) for every 10 children. Reserve your spot by clicking here!
Outdoor Space
We have plenty of open grassy field to have breaks and picnics that we’d love to share!
Limited Tutoring
The people of PBC love to serve our city and community with any gifts we have. A licensed Illinois teacher has volunteered to be available every Wednesday and Thursday from 9:30a-12:30a to assist with tutoring as needed. If you’re a current teacher, retired teacher, or a tutor and would like to be a part of serving in this way as well, please let us know!
FAQs
How do I register?
You can register by clicking here to select your date and give basic contact information. If you are intending to register for multiple dates or recurring dates, you will need to indicate that on your form or send an email to us at office@pontiacbible.org.
Can I show up day-of without a reservation?
No. In order to make sure we are able to plan our space best, organize cleaning schedules, and prioritize the health of our community, we need your advance registration.
Will this be a safe, healthy space?
We will ensure that tables, chairs, doors, restrooms, and high-touch surfaces are cleaned and sanitized on a daily basis. The building will not be open to the public, and all children must be supervised by their parents, guardians, or adults that they have come with. Face coverings are encouraged by the IDPH.
How do I get in the building?
For security purposes, the only door that will be accessible will be our Front Office main door (this is the door closest to the highway as you’re facing our building from the parking lot). Our Administrative Assistant will check you in and get you set up!
Is this available for childcare and/or dropping off my kids?
No. We are unable to function safely as a childcare / daycare facility. Groups may reserve space for families or groups that are sharing a space for a co-op or similar function. A parent or guardian (18+) must remain here for supervision.
Will I have access to other rooms at the church?
No. The Worship Center, nursery, offices, and other spaces will not be available, as we’re working hard to limit which spaces need our attention for cleanliness and sanitization.
Are you offering computer access?
No. We are offering access to our public internet, but we do not have extra computers available.
I’m bringing a young child. Should I bring my own toys?
YES! We will not have any of our toys or resources available due to the difficulties in maintaining cleanliness and sanitization standards. Please feel free to bring whatever you or your child(children) may need.
Can I come and go as I please?
Of course! If you reserve your space for a full day, you can come anytime between 9:30-4:30 however works best for you and your family. You will still need to enter through the main office doors.
What is the best form of payment?
The $4/day fee (or $12/day for private rooms) helps us offset the utilities and custodial costs in making our space available. You can bring cash or check to our Administrative Assistant when you check-in.
Are masks required?
The IDPH requires that face coverings are worn in public spaces. We ask that you please be considerate of others so that we may continue to offer a safe place to serve our community.
How do I ask my other questions?
Please send any additional questions to office@pontiacbible.org. We will do our best to help you as quickly as possible!
